Your body is perfectly imperfect. As moms, it starts with us and our message to our daughters! Spend an hour with your daughter and stop the cycle of body shaming in our community.
Come and learn new ways to befriend your body through positive body affirmations and yoga movement. Without realization, we adopt societies 'thin ideal' when in reality the average women size is a 16. Young females begin to diet and become body conscious as young as 7 years old. This can change, we can change...let's start now!
Join us in one of the most important conversations you will ever have with your daughter. We provide a dynamic workshop which includes gentle yoga and meaningful discussion. You and your daughter will bond in partner stretching, supportive poses, and cooperative movements. Then you and your daughter will breakout into different groups. Daughters will meet with Caitlin Kelly, Registered Yoga Therapist and PE Teacher. Discussion will focus on today's pressures as a teen to have the 'perfect body' and learn strategies to feel strong and powerful in every body type. Mothers will join Audrey Grunst, LCSW and therapist, body image expert and parent coach, to discuss strategies on how to communicate with Tweens about food, exercise, and body weight.
