Finding tools to help your children connect and be confident in themselves
....just in time for school to start.
Anxious feelings are normal and expected for children during times of transition. The transition of returning back to school can be especially stressful for children. Worries about new teachers, new classmates, adjusting to homework and busy after school routines can seem overwhelming to students and their families. This workshop will provide children opportunities to discuss/share fears and anxieties about the upcoming school year and learn tools and strategies to help manage school stressors throughout the year.
What They Will Learn:
+how to use a coping box filed with tools to relax the mind and body, an on-the-go necessity for any anxious child
+yoga postures for the classroom to slow down racing thoughts and feelings
+discreet breathing techniques to regain control before panic sets in
Stephanie Bersh has run several yoga workshops for children. In these workshops, the practice of yoga and breathwork has helped children relax, become empowered, find connection, and share their feelings. Parents have provided feedback post workshop about how their children have used the breathing techniques to help them feel better in a stressful situation, how they have used the yoga poses to help them feel strong in their bodies, and how their children have felt more comfortable expressing scary feelings as they have learned other kids have the same feelings.
Together we can help:
+reduce worry thoughts and help your child feel happier
+prevent panicky feelings and improve their mood
+children stay in the moment and stop the ‘what ifs’
